WATCH: Dana White got irritated when UFC and WWE merger topic was brought up at the UFC 287 Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya 2 press conference
The highly anticipated UFC 287 event featuring Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira brought together the main card fighters for a pre-fight press conference. However, things took an unexpected turn when a journalist posed a question to Kevin Holland about the recent WWE and UFC merger.
The reporter asked who Holland would choose as a UFC fighter to fight in the wrestling ring with a steel chair. Holland, playing it safe, refused to engage in the question, stating he didn’t want to get into trouble. Check out the video below from 27:00.
However, UFC president Dana White quickly intervened, calling the question “stupid” and shutting down any further discussion on the topic. It’s clear that White and the UFC are not interested in entertaining rumors or speculations about the potential crossover between the two fighting worlds. Although it has came under one roof.
With the focus firmly on the upcoming UFC 287 event, it seems that the UFC is determined to keep the spotlight on the fighters and the intense competition that lies ahead.
