RR vs DC – Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal concerns

The left little finger of Jos Buttler, an important batsman for the Rajasthan Royals, required multiple stitches after game vs PBKS. This incident occurred on Wednesday. The likelihood is that Englishman won’t participate in the game on April 8 against the Delhi Capitals (DC).

The Royals lost to PBKS by five runs. Ravichandran Ashwin was promoted to opening position as Buttler was undergoing stitches for a minor finger injury received when taking a catch to dismiss PBKS batter Shahrukh Khan.

For RR, losing Buttler would be a major setback as their batting revolves around him.

With Buttler out, it is a golden opportunity for Devdutt Padikkal to regain some confidence in the opening slot

It is to be noted that Padikkal has been constitently misfiring for Royals as management has not given him the prefered spot as an opener in the team. Instead he has been shifted to No 4 in the batting order.

In middle-order it will be Dhruv Jurel who will get the opportunity after heroics in defeat vs Punjab Kings.
