Charleston Open LIVE: Pegula vs Badosa LIVE – Jessica Pegula and Paula Badosa will face each other in the quarterfinals of the Charleston Open 2023. Jessica Pegula is aiming to win her first title in the WTA Tour this year.
Pegula began her campaign in the second round and clinched a dominating 6-2, 6-0 win against Anna Blinkova.
In the second round, she faced a challenge from 15th seed Irina Begu. However Pegula managed to clinch a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 victory to enter the quarterfinal.
Pegula has been a consistent performer in the tour. Apart from the Indian Wells Masters, she managed to go past the quarterfinal in every other tournament this year.
Her best performance this year is the runner-up finish at the Qatar Open 2023. She lost in the final against Iga Swiatek.
Pegula entered the Charleston Open after bowing out from the semifinals at the Miami Open.

Australia Open 2023: Paula Badosa adds to list of injured players ahead of Australia Open, pulls out of Adelaide International due to thigh injury

Paula Badosa has shown terrific form in the tournament so far. She is yet to drop a set after three matches.
The 12th seed began the campaign with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Mayar Sherif in the first round. In the second round she met former US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez 7-5, 7-6.
She made it to her second quarterfinal in a tournament this year after clinching a dominating 6-1, 6-3 win against Diana Shnaider.
Badosa began the year with a semifinal appearance at delaide International 2. However she suffered an injury in the contest and subsequently missed the Australian Open.
She returned at the Qatar Open and bowed out from the first round. She featured in Dubai Open, Indian Wells Masters and Miami Open but couldn’t go past the second round.
