The WWE Draft refers to a process that is used by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to refresh its rosters between Raw and SmackDown brands (2002-2011; 2016-present). Superstars from NXT are also entitled to be drafted to SmackDown and Raw.

Who will Call the Shots Between Vince McMahon and Triple H?
Last year, Vince McMahon retired and left WWE. His duties were passed on to Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Nick Khan. Under those circumstances, the WWE Draft did not take place. However, on WWE SmackDown this week, Triple H announced the return of the WWE Draft.
Vince McMahon returned to WWE and, on January 10, 2023, took up the role of the Executive Chairman of the company. On Monday this week, it came to the spotlight that Endeavor acquired WWE. Meanwhile, Monday Night Raw on that very day was a complete mess, and reports indicated that Vince McMahon was the one in charge. There are also reports of last-minute script changes, Superstar deciding to leave WWE, and more. Now that Vince McMahon is in charge and has already started making changes, there is a considerable possibility that Vince McMahon will call the Shots for WWE Draft 2023.
On the other hand, since Vince McMahon left the company last year, Triple H has been the Head Of Creative/Chief Content Officer at WWE. Also, on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown Triple H announced the WWE Draft and stated that every superstar on the roster would be eligible for the Draft. He also promised that this year’s WWE Draft will be bigger than ever. Thus, the head of creative might also has significant plans for the upcoming Draft.
