IPL 2023: Lucknow Super Giants made it two wins in a row by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket in a thrilling Match 15 of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The match on Monday had no shortage of drama and thrilling moments as it all came down to the last ball of the night. With pressure high, Harshal Patel and Dinesh Karthik squandered their chances to lead RCB into a super-over where the home team could have bagged an improbable victory. Fans after RCB loss took to Twitter to express their anger and remembered the greats like MS Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin who would have taken those chances in last over rather easily.
Bengaluru was struck by storms from Marcus Stoinis (65 off 30) and Nicholas Pooran after the RCB top order of Virat Kohli (61 off 44), Faf du Plessis (79* off 46), and Glenn Maxwell (59 off 29) had powered them to 212/2. (62 off 19). The two later helped LSG pull off a spectacular chase in a dramatic final over.

Harshal Patel missing on ‘Mankad’ Run Out
LSG needed 5 runs to win in the final over and they even lost two wickets to add to the remarkable run-chase. In last over, there was one instance where Harshal Patel had a fantastic opportunity to mankad Ravi Bishnoi, but the run-out arrived a little late after he had finished his follow-through motion.
Notably, after completing your follow-through, you are not permitted by law to mankad a batter who is not the striker.

Then in the match there was Dinesh Karthik moment and on final ball again. The RCB wicket-keeper fumbled the ball miserably as the home side ended on the losing side.
Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi both ran for single with 1 run needed after Avesh missed to hit the final ball from Harshal Patel. Karthik wasn’t alert, in contrast to MS Dhoni iconic 2016 T20 World Cup moment against Bangladesh
