On Saturday, Ajinkya Rahane batted brilliantly for Chennai Super Kings, totaling 61 runs off just 27 balls. Rahane’s blitzkrieg performance enabled CSK to easily win the game and earn their second victory of the season. CSK’s bowling unit, apart from Ravindra Jadeja, had their issues with leaking runs in the first two games. However, they appeared to have rediscovered their mojo it somewhat as they only allowed MI to score 157 in 20 overs.
CSK will be missing star all-rounders Deepak Chahar and Ben Stokes for the game. Before suffering an injury in practice ahead of the third game, which the Super Kings won by seven wickets, Stokes played two matches for CSK in the IPL 2023. Once the squad arrives in Chennai, Chahar will get a scan, which will reveal the full degree of his injuries, according to CSK.
