IPL 2023: Shakib Al Hasan IPL 2023 – Bad news for Kolkata Knight Riders. Star Bangaldeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not play in IPL 2023. Shakib and Litton Das earlier did not get the NOC from Bangladesh Cricket Board to take part in the Indian Premier League. Shakib will now take part in the one off Test match Ireland. After being a part of the National team, it was clear that Shakib will not be part of KKR in the opening stages of IPL 2023. However, adding to the misery of the Kolkata Knight Riders, the star all-rounder will take NO part in the ongoing season. After the one off Test match, Shakib will be part of the team that will travel to England to face Ireland in a three-match ODI series.
The ODI series against Ireland is set to commence from 9th to 14th May. Prior to that the teams will take part in a practice match set to be played on 5th May. Following the series, it will be futile for Shakib to don the purple jersey for the Knights as IPL will conclude on 28th May.

As per reports, since KKR will not have Shakib for a major part of the tournament, they want a replacement for him. If Shakib doesn’t play then the Knights will opt for another foreigner in their squad. Reports claim that Shakib has accepted the deal and will take no part in the tournament. The player however has made no official statement regarding the same.
Reports further claim that KKR gave the same offer to Litton Das, but the Bangladeshi batter didn’t take the deal. After finishing his national team duties, Litton Das wants to play in IPL and is keen on donning the KKR jersey. BCB has apparently given a split NOC to both the players. After playing for the National team, the players can take part in IPL.
